Morning Routine To Kickstart A Productive Day
‘A morning routine helps you set the tone for the day.’ I had heard this so many times but never paid heed to it. But once my business, my team, and customers started growing, life became more chaotic. I started constantly feeling anxious.
I was craving some structure and organization in my life. That’s when I incorporated having a morning routine.
My morning routine helped me ensure that I take care of myself, put my health and inner peace first, and then everything else. It helped me take better care of my family, my business, and my customers.
Today, I’ll be sharing the exact morning routine that helps me to be productive while balancing my million-dollar online business without compromising my health and inner peace.
1) Disconnect With the Outer World
I have started sleeping without my phone because my business is all around social media and I get bombarded with notifications even at odd hours. It affected my sleep quality & I could not catch a break honestly.
Now, I don’t look at my phone between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM the next morning. Basically, I have 12 hours of no phone time and I follow it strictly now. My phone sleeps in my office and if you’re thinking where do I put the alarms, I use my Fitbit or a physical alarm clock.
2) Unwinding my thoughts through Journaling
I wake up around 7:00 AM and have warm water with a pinch of cinnamon and lemon juice. That’s when I also open my gratitude journal and I write all of the things that I’m grateful for.
In my happy days, I write about business doing well, clients being happy, acquiring new clients, learning something new, my awesome relationship with my partner, having a nice workout, etc. I don’t forget to jot them all down in my journal and be super grateful for them.
Even in my down days, I will still have something to be grateful for; my family, my home, my health. This practice lifts my mood up and I strongly believe it is all about perspective.
3) Sweat it out & Meditate
Fitness is so important for a healthy body and mind. I go for a run with either music or podcast on. I love verdant spaces. Coming back from the run makes me feel motivated, happier, and more energetic to conquer the rest of the day and all of the tasks that come with it.
I sit on the bench in the park, open my headspace app. It is a meditation and mindfulness application. I meditate for 15 mins.
5) Have Breakfast and get ready
I start my day with some fruits. I wait for half an hour before I have my breakfast and tea. Then I get ready and start my work in my home office. Getting ready helps me set the mood and get things done.
These were the 5 things I swear by. They give me a head start to the day and make it hyper-productive.
Creating a morning routine is not focused on how you can check off more boxes than everyone else. It is about allowing yourself to begin your day with confidence, peace, and a positive attitude.
Starting the day this way can allow you to effectively complete tasks and handle things that come your way without being overwhelmed.
